Tenzile Gül Apari, Bekir Karlik The introduction of public network infrastructures enables innovative mobile healthcare services. Promising examples of such e-health services are tele-monitoring and tele-treatment services. These services allow healthcare professionals to monitor the health condition of a patient and to act upon indications of an abnormal state at any time and at any place.. Tele-treatment on epilepsy determines whether the incoming patient to the village or county clinic, has a serious brain problem if he comes with the complaints like changes in sensations, state of consciousness or uncontrolled movements of certain parts of the body or of the whole body. The primary objective of this study is to develop a Tele-monitoring and Teletreatment system that utilizes commodity peer to peer network communication. For this purpose, a software program determining the real-time EEG (electroencephalograph) by using neural networks has been developed. Hereby, it helps determining the epileptic seizure requiring an emergency aid with an early diagnosis. Briefly, Tele-epilepsy system is a combination of health center (or home) Research hospital (or the Office of family doctor) to send data and current status of patient by EEG sensors to get treatment of patient who has epileptic seizure. |
